I think you are looking for Amazon Advantage.

You can sell your books on Amazon.com this way.

Your books have to have a scannable ISBN/EAN/UPC number.
You get an account, submit your title information and if they accept your title, you log in and fill out some forms.

They’ll tell you how many copies they want.

You send them some stock of your title and you make sure to send it via a method that can be tracked or your items may just somehow never show up at Amazon’s receiving area.

I am a pro-seller  on Amazon.co.uk:crucialmusic  & have a s Storefront http://bit.ly/4TJ6z9.  Being a pro-seller enables me to list new items such as books as long as they have a barcode/ ISBN number.
BUT
If you are not yet even a seller on Amazon it would seem a step too far, simply to register as a pro-seller ( and get a monthly fee). You need to find a pro-seller who is willing to list the book for you and you immediately have someone, other than yourself, who is supporting you. If they do not want to stock your book then you simply can list it yourself on this new page.  If they will stock it then both you and they can list it BUT make sure you don't undercut your 'supporter'!
Either way you should make sure your 'supporter' is recompensed for their time and involvement
There are also firms that will "publish" your book as a self-published effort. They obviously charge you a fee but should include in their service an Amazon listing. Have you looked at Lulu.com for an 'on-demand' publishing service?

Contact me if you want more advice especially if you are in the UK. I have started many NEW listing for CDs on Amazon and it works well. Hope that helps!

Sorry – that link seems to be dodgy! My store on Amazon is http://bit.ly/4TJ6z9 where you can see various NEW to Amazon listings BUT do contact me if you want more help
I recommend this way as Amazon Advantage, although good, is very expensive. You will have to surrender a bit percentage of your sales income to pay commission to Amazon
